DAY 1. ARRIVAL BY DRUK-AIR - PARO
During this flight joinery one will see breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan Peaks including Mt. Chomalhari and Mt. Jichu Drake in Bhutan. Upon arrival at Paro Airport one will be received by the representative of Dragon Trekkers & Tours. On completion of the Visa Formalities at the Airport our representative will take you to the Hotel with the drive through the enchanting valley of Paro. Evening at leisure. |
DAY 2. PARO - THIMPHU
After breakfast drive for the sightseeing of Paro valley. Visit the Drugyal Dzong a ruined fortress which once withstood the Tibetan invasion in 17 th C. From here on a clear day one can view the Mr. Chomolhari “mountain of the goddess” (Alt 7329 M). Visit a typical Bhutanese farm house to witness the living of Bhutanese family. During this drive one can stop for the spectacle view of Taktsang (Tier's Nest) which clings on the sheer cliff of a rock face above the 3000 of the valley. It is believed that the great saint Guru came on the flying Tiger and meditated and later followed by other saints from Bhutan. After lunch drive to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan. Enroute stop to visit the National Museum, and continue the journey to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel. |
DAY 3. THIMPHU TSECHU
Festival of Thimphu begins today. No photography allowed. Lunch at Hotel. One/group can have the choice for sight-seeing of Thimphu valley. Festival programme will be handed over to all the visitors. |
DAY 4. THIMPHU TSECHU
Whole day festival or sightseeing. Photography allowed. |

DAY 6. THIMPHU - PARO
Morning witness the festival and afternoon leave for Paro. Overnight at Hotel. |
DAY 7. PARO AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE
Early breakfast drive to Paro airport for onward journey by Druk-air. |

DAY 2. THIMPHU - SIGHTSEEING
Visit Memorial Chorten, built in memory of His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the late King of Bhutan, the handicrafts Emporium, Zelukha Nunnery, National Library, post office and stroll around the city. Overnight at Hotel. |
DAY 3. THIMPHU - TONGSA
Drive to Tongsa. Packed lunch will be served enroute. The drive to Tongsa will take approx. 7/8 hours. On this route one can enjoy the view of the snow capped mountains, on the clear day. Wandiphodrang dzong can be viewed enroute. Overnight at Tongsa Tourist Lodge/Camp. |
DAY 4. TONGSA TSECHU
First day of festival begins today. No photography allowed. |
DAY 5. TONGSA TSECHU
Witness festival on the courtyard of Tongsa Dzong. Photography will be allowed during the last 2 days. |
DAY 6. TONGSA - WANGDIPHODRANG
Morning witness the last day of festival for a while. After early lunch drive to Wangdiphodrang. Overnight at Guest house/Camp. |
DAY 7. WANGDIPHODRAGE - PARO
After breakfast drive to Paro, lunch stop in Thimphu. After lunch have a short break in Thimphu for last day shopping and continue journey to Paro, Overnight at Hotel. |
DAY 8. PARO - SIGHTSEEING
Drive to Drugyel Dzong, to visit the ruined fortress which once withstood the Tibetan invaders in the 17 th Century. On the way if the weather is clear, one can see the Mt. Chomolhari, the sacred Mount of Goddess. Enroute you will also stop for the magnificent view of Taksang the Tiger's nest which clings on the sheer drop of the rock cliff. The great saint Guru Padmasambhava landed here on the flying tiger and meditated in this Monastery. After lunch visit Ta-Dzong, a former watch tower which now has been converted into National Museum and stroll around Paro Town. Overnight at Hotel. |
DAY 9. PARO AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE
Early breakfast, drive to Paro Airport for onward journey by Druk-air flight. |
