WEST BHUTAN CULTURAL TOUR
| Day 01 |
Arrival Paro by Druk Air
During this journey, one will experience breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan Peaks including sacred Chomolhari and Mount Jichu Drake in Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport you will be received by the representative of your travel agency. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 02 |
Paro - Thimphu
After breakfast drive to Thimphu – the capital of Bhutan. After lunch visit the great memorial Chorten, built in memory of His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the late king of Bhutan. Also visit the Handicraft Emporium, Zelukha Nunnery and the National Library. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 03 |
Thimphu – Punakha - Thimphu
Full day excursion to Punakha for local sightseeing. On a clear day, from Dochula Pass ( 3,100 m. ) one can have a magnificent view of the mountain range. It is a picnic excursion. One can visit the Punakha Dzong in Summer when the Monk Body are in Thimphu in their summer residence. A rafting can be arranged on advance bookings. Picnic lunch will be served by the river side of Punakha. Later drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 04 |
Thimphu - Paro
After breakfast drive to Paro and do the sightseeing of Paro Valley, with a visit to Drugyel Dzong, a ruined fortress once withstood the Tibetan invasion in the 17 th century. From here one can view the peak of Mt. Chomolhari, 7,300 m. on the clear day. Then visit typical Bhutanese farmhouse to witness the living of Bhutanese family. During this drive one can stop for view of Taktsang ( Tigher Nest ) Monastery which clings on the steer drop of a rock face where the saint Guru Rimpoche landed here on a flying tiger and meditated. After lunch drive to Ta – Dzong to visit the National Museum and later stroll around the Paro town. Overnight at Hotel. |

Paro - Airport
Drive to International Airport at Paro for onward flight to your destination. |

| Day 01 |
Arrival Paro by Druk Air, Paro-Thimphu
During this journey, one will experience breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan Peaks including sacred Chomolhari and Mount Jichu Drake in Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport you will be received by the representative of your travel agency and will be drive directly to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 02 |
Thimphu - Punakha - Thimphu
After breakfast full day excursion to Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. The Dzong can be visited if Je – khenpo ( chief Abbot ) and the central Monk Body are in Thimphu, their summer residence. On the way, i.e., from Dochula Pass (3,100 m.) one can view Bhutan mountain ranges including Mt. Gangkarpunsum (7,541 m.) which is the highest mountain in Bhutan, on a clear day. Packed lunch will be served at Wangdi. After lunch drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 03 |
Thimphu – Paro
After breakfast witness the cultural show for 1 hour performed by the Royal Dance Troupe, and visit Zelukha Nunnery, National Library, Handicraft and Emporium, and walk around Thimphu city. Lunch served at Hotel. After lunch drive to Paro en route visit Memorial Chorten of the Late King, Simtokha Dzong, the first fort built in 1627 – 29 by Shabdrung, one who unified the Kingdom, which now houses the school for study of Dzong-kha, the National Language of Bhutan. Then continue the journey to Paro. Overnight at Hotel. |
| Day 04 |
Paro
After breakfast do the sightseeing of Paro Valley, with a visit to Drugyel Dzong, a ruined fortress once which repelled the Tibetan invasion in the 17 th century. From here one can view the peak of Mt. Chomolhari, 7,300 m. on the clear day. Then visit typical Bhutanese farmhouse and drive to Hotel for Lunch. After lunch drive to Ta – Dzong to visit the National Museum and later stroll around the Paro town. Overnight at Hotel. |

Paro - Airport
Drive to International Airport at Paro for onward flight to your destination. |
