RIGA - the capital of Latvia has a population of almost a million. It is a busy port and a cosmopolitan city with a well-preserved fascinating old town. Its offers a rich architectural setting ranging from medieval gabled homes and storehouses built by Hansa merchants to exquisite 19th, to the beginning of the 20th century Art Nouveau building. Set among tree by a lake in the suburbs of Riga,is the Open-Air Ethnographic Museum with over one hundred wooden buildings.

VILNIUS - a World Heritage City, the capital of Lithuania is the country's biggest and most beautiful city, famous for its architectural monuments, lovely churches, narrow streets and medieval courtyards. Founded in 1323, the Old Town is now considered to be one of the oldest and most beautiful in Europe. It is a place where the main architectural styles of Europe stand side by side, complimenting each other. In 1994, Vilnius' Old Town, covering 360 hectares, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
