Journey to Siberia will give you the joy of unexpected discoveries.
Siberia is a vast land stretching east of the Ural mountains which divides Europe from Asia. The conventional border between Europe and Asia passes along the Ural ride and the Ural river. Siberia is one of the many places on earth with pristine and harmonious beauty makes one wonder of nature's unlimited creative powers giving the country silver and gold, iron ore and mercury, wheat and fish. It occupies more than a third of the territory of Russia. Everything here, both the natural environment and human activity, has seeping dimensions. In Soviet years Siberia, an out-of-the-way province turned by the tsarist regime into a place of exile and penal servitude, has changed beyond recognition. Its progressed ever more rapidly, assuming truly giant dimensions. Now Siberia has become an important industrial and agricultural region, a good place for recreation and a major tourist region.
Trans Siberian Railway covers more than 6,000 miles, crossing 7 time zones and the journey between Moscow and the east coast takes about 8 days. The building of this historic railway, liking European Russia directly with the Pacific, was formally inaugurated in 1891. The most enjoyable aspect of the journey is to share in the continual activity on board and make new friends.
